Fiery Ozark Tonic

Hello friends! I wanted to take a few minutes to talk with you about our first release of “Fiery Ozark Tonic”. (Which you can pick up here if you are interested!)

If you are anything like me, and have an obsession with finding and researching non-traditional methods of treating and preventing illness, you may have stumbled across Fire Cider.  In a nutshell, this tonic is a traditional folk remedy for treating and potentially even preventing cold and flu. (Please note that there aren’t any FDA statements or claims that this is true, however, centuries of folks using this can’t be that wrong!)  For centuries, folks have been mixing apple cider vinegar and honey to aid in digestion and to prevent those harsh winter colds. For the past two winters I have taken this tonic, just a tablespoon daily, and I can honestly say that while others around me were plagued with a cold or sinus issue, I remained healthy. Last winter The Hubs came down with a pretty bad cold, and I didn’t catch it! And trust me, it’s not because I’m some immune system super star!!

So, what’s in it?  My tonic contains a concoction of organic apple cider vinegar, local organic honey, lemons, onions, horseradish, ginger, jalapeno, garlic and turmeric.  The ingredients were mixed together and allowed to steep for months before bottling!

So, what are some of the benefits? Individually, each of the ingredients offers some sort of benefit, but when mixed together they become like a natural flu shot! The primary benefits are: that it’s an anti-inflammatory, immunity boosting, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and a digestive aid.

When I was doing my initial research, I was super skeptical, but after trying it myself, I’m hooked. I won’t lie and say that the flavor is sweet, and if you can’t stand the heat, maybe this isn’t for you. But I will say that if you take a tablespoon (and wash it down with a little bit of water) it will warm you up from the inside out!

If you are looking to ward off those winter colds, look no farther than Fiery Ozark Tonic, and ignite a fire to keep you warm from the inside out!
